As part of our continuing work exploring our local community, our young adults in Class 12 went out on a trip this week to the nearby Doctor’s Surgery at Brockwell Park. We have made a map of the local area, and then researched which areas of interest we would like to visit. After a fifteen minute walk, Dr James met us at the surgery. She very kindly showed us around, introducing the pupils to some of the instruments that she uses. We learnt about the small hammer that is used to test the knee tendon of patients, as well as her stethoscope. When we arrived back at school, we updated our maps with this new information.
