The end of the school year may be approaching, but Purple class have plenty of work to see us through until the summer break! In numeracy we have been looking at place value. The idea is for the children to have an understanding of how many more or, or how many less, separate different numbers. We have been rolling up plasticine, and then cutting this up to help us with our sums. Our science work for the summer term involves sorting different materials. This is a very practical topic. The children will be feeling the different textures of each fabric, and then describing what is in front of them. Geography work in Purple class will have a seasonal element as we will be learning all about the different times of the year. Three Little Pigs will be the main reading book in Purple class. A busy time ahead!
