Class 3J have been learning in their R.E. lessons all about what can be found inside a Greek Orthodox Church. We started our research off by first watching a brief video. This helped the pupils to identify the many splendid objects that are used for worship. Class 3J then completed a worksheet that asked them to label each object within the church. We used this exercise to also talk about the role that they play in worship, and why they might be important for Christian worshippers. This work will continue throughout the term as we repeat this exercise using other religions and different places of worship. We want to compare how the major world religions use buildings and significant objects as part of their worship. You can find out more in the podcast below.
