Orange Class had a really great trip out to the nearby Roots and Shoots centre. We have been looking at different forms of wildlife, and in particular pond life and insects. We had a chance to observe these closely at first hand during our trip. Back at school and the children have followed up this work by drawing and painting all of the wildlife that we could see at Roots and Shoots.
Our geogrpahy work in Orange Class for the remainder of the school year will be based on learning more about our school environment. We are going to set up a Turney School treasure hunt, which will help the children to be able to read a simple map, as well as to feel confident when walking around the school.
