Our science work in Class 2S has been focussed on looking at the earth, moon and the sun. We wanted the pupils to try and distinguish different features and to describe what they can see. We started off by thinking about the colours of the earth, moon and sun. We then talked about physical features, and what we might be able to find. Finally we started to think about the temperatures and which might be the hottest or coldest out of the three.
We presented out work in a series of fact sheets. We encouraged the pupils to share the facts with their class friends, and to explain the knowledge that we have learnt. Some of the pupils have also been working with models of the earth and the moon. You can see how the moon rotates around the earth in the video above.
