All of the pupils in Silver Class are very excited about our first ever Turney School assembly! This is quite a major moment as the new starters build up the confidence to present their work to our other friends from around the school. The theme for our assembly will be to introduce ourselves to the other classes. Silver Class will sing a greetings song so that everyone knows who we are.
Back in the classroom and the children are making some wonderful progress with their literacy and maths work. We are reading the book Where’s Spot, and in particular thinking about prepositions. This covers phrases such as behind, in front of, inside, outside etc.
Meanwhile our maths work in Silver Class continues with plenty of learning about shapes. Most children are now able to recognise the many different shapes, as well as talk about how many sides that they may have.
