Class 10 P.E.

Class 10

Class 10 have been taking a keen interest in cricket throughout the summer term. We have been talking about the many skills that we need to be a good cricket player during recent P.E. lessons. As well as being good at batting, Class 10 have been learning how fielding is an equally important skill.

Working in small groups we have been focussing on improving our catching techniques. Some pupils used a large ball to help with their coordination. Other Class 10 members who felt slightly more confident completed some throwing and catching exercises working against the clock.

A common theme in both exercises is the importance of teamwork. We also focussed on the ability to anticipate where the ball might be thrown. We spoke about maintaining eye close eye contact with both bat and ball if we want to become good cricket players.
