Green Class Activities

Green Class

Green Class have been looking at the difference between school and home life as one of our early topics for the new autumn term. We have been asking questions such as: what kind of actions do we carry out at school? How are these different to some of the activities that might take place at home?

We are keen for the pupils to understand the difference between our responsibilities at school, and our responsibilities at home. This is a timely exercise to help Green Class remember the expectations we have for our pupils at Turney School. A large part of this work has involved looking at school and home pictures, and then sorting these. This is a great way for the children to feel settled.

Elsewhere around Green Class and our art work has involved looking at repeating patterns. We wanted the pupils to be able to describe what we mean by a pattern, and to identify the defining features. All pupils have produced a repeating pattern. We have been asking each class member to consider what comes next in our pattern.
