Green Class have been looking at old and new artefacts as part of our history learning for the spring term. We have spoken in class about how some objects are very old, and some might be modern. An example might be an old bicycle. We have compared a picture of an old bicycle with a brand new one. Although they both carry out the same task, they look very different.
The pupils have all completed a worksheet based around this research. The task involved cutting out pictures of many different artefacts, and then deciding if these were old or new. The pupils then sorted these into the two groups. The aim was to match up an old item with the corresponding new one.
