Class 10P have started to compare and contrast some of the major world religions as part of our humanities learning at Turney School. Our first lesson looked at Sikhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam.
Similar questions were asked about each religion to see if they had any similarities. In particular Class 10P were interested in knowing about the place of worship, the festivals and the leaders associated with these major world religions.
The students were then presented with a series of pictures showing different scenes from each of these religions. The task was to first identify the religion featured, and then to write a complete sentence explaining what is taking place in the picture.
