Class 9EG have started a new food tech topic learning about different recipes involves wraps. Examples of this include spring rolls, or cold rolls that are popular in Vietnam.
This work started off with a selection of cold rolls being carefully prepared. The Class 9EG students are encouraged to work independently throughout. Equipment is collected, and then a shopping list is used to gather the ingredients from the food bar.
Many different skills were required to complete this task. Chopping, grating, wrapping and rolling are all required. Presentation was an important part of this work.
Once the ingredients has been prepared, a piece of rice paper was carefully dipped in water so that it became sticky. The ingredients were then added.
It was explained by Miss P that this is an incredibly healthy meal. The Class 9EG pupils were asked to evaluate their work. The next stage in this project will be for the pupils to prepare a tasty spring roll.
