Class 8BM have started their humanities history learning after the half term break. We will be looking at the next few weeks at a number of famous historical figures.
This work started by understanding what is meant when we use the term a famous person. Class 8BM were asked to give some examples.
We then started to look at the famous historical figure of Christopher Columbus. The pupils read out a short story about his life by following a Communication in Print presentation on the class whiteboard.
The main focus for this session was to understand how the famous explorer was trying to reach India, but ended up discovering America.
The Columbus story was then re-told as part of our individual table work. The Class 8BM pupils were presented with a number of visual prompts to help to remind them of some of the key facts.
