The Year 11 students have been learning about electricity during recent science lessons. New vocabulary has been introduced to the class members. The pupils are familiar with words such as batteries, bulbs, light, wire, switches, connections and circuits.
This learning has involved the pupils exploring how we can make an electrical circuit. Class members were given a battery, a set of wires and a bulb. The challenge was to build a circuit to light the bulb.
Worksheets have also been completed. This included a comprehension exercise to recap on the knowledge. It also introduced the idea of recycling batteries and why this is important.
