Year 7 Maths Data Handling Work

Year 7 have completed some outstanding maths work towards the end of the spring term. The sessions are very structured so that all pupils can understand what is expected.

We start with one class member using the Picture Exchange Communication System to announce the date. The time of each lesson is also commented on.

Our main focus for the end of term is data handling. Year 7 have been introduced to some new key words. These include tally, sorting and lists.

Table work activities then took place. The pupils were introduced to the Venn diagrams. Pictures of objects needed to be sorted. One example was animals that fly appearing in the centre of the diagram.

Carroll diagrams were also looked at. The pupils sorted pictures of boys and girls with long and short hair.
