Green staff have started the summer term with a new class reading book: Have You Filled a Bucket Today? This is a story that helps with social skills. The idea is that happy feeling and emotions are left inside the bucket.
Friendship is a key theme in the story. The children have been thinking about how they can make their families feel happy. We have also been using the Picture Exchange Communications System to make sentences.
Our maths learning is Green Class has been looking at subtracting one digit numbers. We are also exploring the properties of shapes.
Finally it is worth mentioning our new geography topic. Green Class will be learning about the water cycle. We are a planning a practical experiment. A cup will be filled with soil, and then have cling film placed on top. We should be able to see the precipitation forming.
