Green Class have been working hard during our daily guided reading time. The pupils are concentrating on using longer words to form small sentences. Class teacher Stephanie is happy to see the individual levels for each pupil rising. The children are now reading some challenging books.
This has helped the Green Class children with their English topic exploring emotions. The pupils have been identifying different feelings.
Facial expressions have been used to help with this recognition. We have answered questions such as when might we feel a particular emotion. This learning has helped the children to understand that it is OK to feel different emotions. We have worked on some coping strategies to handle each emotion.
Maths work in Green Class has focused on counting on the number line between thirty and forty. Some of the pupils have also been working on forming number bonds up to five.
