Silver Class Explore Music Studio Instruments

Silver Class have been enjoying their weekly lessons in the Turney School music studio. Miss G has been helping each class member to feel happy as they start to explore the instruments.

A listening exercise starts each lesson. Sensory bubbles are blown. This helps the children to feel relaxed for the music learning ahead.

An African drum is then passed around each Silver Class member. The task is to beat out the name of our friend sitting next to us and greet them.

The children are then given a free choice to explore the instruments. Communication in Print is used to explain the requests. An example might be: I want keyboards.

Silver Class are then allowed to handle and play the different instruments. The idea is for the children to explore how the sounds are made ahead of future music lesson learning.
