Silver Class Take Part in Turney School Bear Hunt

The Silver Class children recently enjoyed a real life Bear Hunt around our classroom! We have been reading the book and finding out about the different obstacles that need to be overcome.

Our brilliant teaching staff prepared some amazing resources. Different environments were put together to help the children experience the Bear Hunt as part of their sensory learning.

Shoes and socks were removed. The Silver Class children then experienced water, leaves and snow as they went in search of their bear. Each class member was encouraged to sign out the different parts of the story.

Elsewhere in Silver Class and the children have been learning about healthy food. We used a recent food tech session to prepare a tasty festive salad to enjoy.

Finally we would like to thank all the staff who helped the Silver Class children to take part in the Turney School Christmas concert. We also enjoyed decorating the festive pine cones that were then sold at the school bazaar.
