Class 10TD have started a new food tech topic for the spring term looking at the use of pasta in food. We have seen how this is a healthy food choice and helps us with our carbohydrate needs.
Different dishes will be prepared each week to show how flexible pasta is in our food preparation. The first meal baked by Class 10TD was a very tasty spinach cannelloni.
This pupils started by thinking about what utensils they might need. These included items such as a garlic crusher, graters and measuring spoons. Some of the key skills covered grating and piping the cheese mixture.
The end result was a very tasty meal to take home. The students will be asked to evaluate their work. We will also be comparing each pasta meal as we progress throughout the spring term.
