The Yellow Class pupils are continuing with their phonics learning during the summer term. All class members take part in a supported phonics session during our daily guided reading sessions.
This is an chance for the children to work one-on-one with an adult. Encouragement is given to help sound out phonic sounds such as th, sh and ch. We then spend a little time with some supported reading with an adult.
Other activities that take place each morning include exploring the sensory toy box. Tasks are also set to help improve the fine motor skills of the pupils.
Our science topic in Yellow Class during the summer term will see the children learning about light sources. We will also be looking at electrical and non-electrical sources.
