Lime Class Autumn Term Learning

Lime Class have started to learn about shadow and light during the first few weeks of the autumn term. We have seen how light is formed by looking at some of the sources. Some new vocabulary has been introduced with words such as opaque, translucent and transparent.

Our English work in Lime Class for this term will be based around the book Swimming. This is a fantastic story that looks at issues around diversity and friendship. It tells the story of how a fish that looks different is able to make friends by helping out others.

Math learning in Lime will look at the distance between two objects and their contrasting qualities. Our phonics work will continue with the children aiming to complete Levels 2 and 3 to phase 2 and 3. A large part of this learning is based around blending words.
