Class 8CM have been learning about different body parts during autumn term science lessons. The aim was to be able to locate each part, and to understand what we use them for.
Different table activities took place. One group of pupils has been looking at a series of pictures and then writing a sentence to describe what they can see. An example might be: the boy is wearing sunglasses to protect his eyes.
Another piece of work required the class members to cut, stick and build up a body. Each body part was placed in the correct location and then labelled.
Some of the higher ability students have advanced this work to write sentences commenting on what each body part can do. We have looked at everyday actions such as typing or running, and then matching these with the correct body part.
