Blue Class are continuing with their healthy eating science topic. We have looked at why it is important to take care of our teeth.
Our food tech lessons have carried on with this theme. The children have been making different healthy option snacks.
A recent session saw Blue Class prepare a healthy bean salad. The children were asked to identify the ingredients. These included tomatoes, peppers, spring onions, cheese and kidney beans.
Chopping skills were needed to help prepare the salad. The Blue Class members were also encouraged to share the resources. The Picture Exchange Communication boards were used to help the pupils with their requests.
Once the salads were finished we held a try and taste session. The Blue Class children were asked to comment on the taste of their snack.
