Class 11JB are preparing for Christmas by baking some tasty Christmas biscuits. This was a great sensory activity with different herbs and spices used. The students were asked to sample cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger before adding them to their mixture.
The students needed good mixing and kneading skills to help them to prepare their mixture. They then used the rolling pins to to flatten out the mixture.
Class 11JB were asked to choose which Christmas cutter design they would like to use for their biscuits. The choice included Christmas trees, stars and Christmas stockings.
The students took responsibility for washing up whilst the biscuits were baking. Our final task was to decorate the biscuits with icing sugar and other cake toppings.
