The Orange Class children are making great progress as part of our daily guided reading sessions. These are structured to help meet the learning targets of each child.
Some of the class members have been reading sentences back to adults. Other children have focussed on recognising the early phonic sounds.
Maths progress has also been made in Orange Class. Some of the higher ability children are able to count from one to ten. Help is given to all pupils to reach them aims. We use resources such as matching games to help improve our number knowledge.
Some of the lower ability pupils have met their targets using the sensory resources. These include finding the correct shaped objects that will fit into a box with a specific sized hole.
Finally it is worth mentioning our weekly sessions in the Turney School music studio. The Orange Class children enjoy exploring the instruments and working together to create sounds.
