The Year 14 students are continuing with their pop art theme. We have looked at some of the famous pop art images by the artist Andy Warhol. Our work has now taken a practical level of learning with some recreations produced by the students.
One piece of art that the students have focussed on involves colourful images of flowers in orange and yellow. Year 14 have used sponges to help paint the images. Careful attention was paid not to cross over the outline of each flower.
Art teacher Ian and his staff support the students by asking constant questions about the work. The students are asked to describe the colours and what they can see in their paintings.
