Class 11IP Identify Different Parts of the Solar System

Class 11IP are continuing to explore the solar system during our summer science lessons. The main learning objectives are to identify the planets and stars, as well as explore satellites and constellations.

Each student has a set learning aim with activities to match. Some of the pupils are sorting pictures of the moon and the sun. Support staff have helped them with their verbal communication skills for the moon and the sun.

Another group of learners has ordered the planets in the correct sequence in which they rotate around the sun. Each planet in our diagram was then labelled.

A final group of Class 11IP students have produced some fantastic written work based around the solar system. They have used reading texts to find the answers to a series of questions. Full sentences have been written about facts based on the solar system.
