Year 14 Work Experience with the Herne Hill Forum

The Year 14 students are spending their Monday morning outside of Turney School with a mixture of pleasure and work experience. Each new week starts with a session at the nearby Herne Hill Velodrome. Our friends from Wheels for Wellbeing very kindly make their fantastic selection of bicycles available to the students.

The pupils then remain in the local area as part of their work experience project. We are working with the Herne Hill Forum on activities to help improve the appearance of the local community. The students are helping to maintain the flower beds outside Herne Hill train station.

This work experience has continued back at Turney School. The students are taking on more responsibility when working with the adults. They are helping Mr Jones to maintain his PE resources, as well as carrying out regular stock takes of resources in our sixth form area.
