Much of our work around Green class this week has been spent in preparation for our school assembly. With the changing season now upon us, Green class has decided that the weather would be a great topic to base our assembly on. We have been talking about how and why the weather always changes. Our assembly will focus on the sun, rain, wind and snow. Each child will be dressed to represent a changing weather!

We have used our D & T time to help make our costumes. Our assembly will also include a stunning Green class fashion show – the children will be walking up and down the catwalk wearing the clothes that we need for different types of weather!

Green class have greatly enjoyed reading Handa’s Surprise this week. The story is very visual and it contains a lot of props. We have made our own fruit basket in Green class, and the children have explored the different fruit and described what they can see. Keeping in with the healthy theme, we also had a wonderful time at our weekly swimming session. We practised kicking with our feet, and feeling confident in the water.
