Class 12 Community Video

We treated our Class 12 pupils to a pre-Christmas treat of lunch out in the local community this week. All of our young adults (and staff!) had a really great afternoon out at The Ritzy Cinema Cafe in Brixton. We have been working all term on researching and planning trips into our community. The pupils have produced a local map of the area, highlighting various points of interest, or great places to visit. The Ritzy was one of these landmarks, and so it only seemed fair to make the short trip for lunch!

We observed during the short journey some of the other places of interest on our map. We went past Brockwell Park, and then pointed out where the Lido can be found.

When we arrived at The Ritzy, we were greeted by the staff, and shown to our table. Our pupils then looked at the menu available, and made their food and drink choices. Pizza seemed to be the popular option, and we all thought about what particular type of pizza taste we enjoy. Ham and cheese were favourites, and there was even the option for a pizza with a poached egg on top!

With everyone well fed and full of friendly conversation, there was only one task remaining before we departed back to Turney – paying the bill! We had also been keeping an eye on the prices during our afternoon out, and trying hard to keep a track of the budget.

It was wonderful for Class 12 to be out and about in the local community. We greatly enjoyed the company of The Ritzy staff who made us feel most welcome. You can watch a short film of the Class 12 afternoon out above, as well as looking at our lunchtime treat picture gallery below.
