We have been learning all about the work of Christian Aid during our RE lessons in Class 11. Our pupils have been researching the charity, finding out that it has three main functions: providing emergency aid, helping poor countries to be self-sufficient and educating richer nations to be more supportive. We have been looking at specific examples of how Christian Aid has been helping people in Haiti following the devastating earthquake. Using online resources, our pupils found that Christian Aid provided resources such as food, water, shelter and clothing during the recent disaster.
