Yellow class have been working incredibly hard during literacy lessons on improving their range of sentence structure. We have been learning how to describe where different objects are – either inside, outside, in front or at the back. Using these categories, we have then built up a complete sentence to describe what is happening in a series of images.
Some of the children have been taking this approach a stage further, by brainstorming ideas based on what they can see in a picture. This started out as a simple exercise of looking at a picture of a rabbit, holding a carrot. We then thought about how we can arrange our words to help construct a perfect sentence. You can watch an example of the Yellow class literacy work in action above.
