Class 11 Relationships

Class 11

We welcomed into our class this week Janis, a visitor from the Brook Advisory Centre. This was as part of our Sex and Relationships topic. We have been thinking and discussing these topics in small groups, and helping each other to understand how we can develop personally as young adults. Janis was on hand to answer any questions from our pupils about contraception. We spoke frankly about why this is so important, and then what different options are available. This then developed into a discussion about possible dangers if young people don’t consider contraception within a relationship.

We learnt about different diseases that might be picked up, as well as the implications for pregnancy. We finished our session with a quiz, to find out how much information our pupils had learnt. Sex and Relationships is an ongoing topic in Class 11. We will be visiting the Brook Advisory Centre later in the week, to learn more about how we can develop as young adults. You can catch up with some of the thoughts following the session in the podcast below.
