Blue Class D & T Video

We are fortunate to have an incredibly talented collection of young artists in Blue Class, who greatly enjoy all D & T aspects of the Turney School curriculum. These skills have been used by Blue Class to help build a series of shelters, as part of our class topic of looking at homes and how people and animals need some form of shelter. We encouraged the children to think first about whom they wanted to build a shelter for. We asked them to describe what it might need to look like, and what sort of size and shape would be appropriate. Using clay, our young sculptures modelled their shelters from the designs that they had thought out. Once these are dry, we will then add in the detail of the colour. You can catch up with the idea behind one of these Blue Class shelters in the video above.
