Class 10 have been studying traditional African masks during their D & T lessons. This is part of our wider work that is to learn more about the significance of sculptures. We wanted to add a contemporary element to our study, and so the pupils have decided to make their own African style masks using modern re-cycled materials. We have held a class discussion to consider what type of materials the original African masks were made of. We then came up with some of our ideas as to what we could bring in from home to help us with our project.
