Class 3J have been learning all about the Jewish Sabbath as part of our ongoing humanities work researching different world religions. Our focus has to be to see how people of the Jewish faith observe this very special day each week. Class 3J held a class discussion all about what activities are allowed on the Sabbath, and how the day is seen as a day of rest. Having established that anything related to work is rested on the Sabbath, we then offered some suggestions as to how Jewish people might organise their life and religion each weekend. Our pupils completed a number of worksheets, to demonstrate their understanding of the topic. You can listen to one of our Class 3J members explaining more about his work in the podcast below.
