Our food technology sessions in Class 2S have continued with the very enjoyable pizza project. The pupils are working towards designing their own pizza, taking into account their own personal taste preferences and their level of cooking ability. Each session has been spent experimenting with a combination of different ingredients. We then evaluate these, and conclude with the type of tastes that we would like to use for our final practical piece of pizza cooking.
A recent Class 2S session was centered on working with chicken and vegetables. We have been slowly introducing different kitchen utensils into our work, talking about the levels of safety that we need to observe and how to use them. For this session the children started to use a cheese grater as part of the preparation for their pizza. We always work using a Communication in Print timetable, to show us the sequence of events and preparation. You can find out more in the short video above.
