Blue class have been getting use to the kitchen and cooking routine during our recent Food Tech lessons. We have been learning how planning and preparation is always very important when working in the kitchen. Washing our hands and wearing a clean apron is always a good start!
We have been working towards designing and then making our own sandwiches in Blue Class. The children first decided if they preferred the taste of bread slices, or a bread roll. We then followed the sequence of instructions, starting off by buttering our bread, and then deciding upon our favourite filling.
The children had a choice of cheese, ham or tuna. We also had tomatoes and cucumber to add to the taste. Some careful grating or chopping then followed, and soon it was time to taste what we had produced. You can find out more about the Blue Class Food Tech sandwich session in the video above.
