We have a busy period ahead of us in Purple Class as we prepare for al of the work that we will be doing throughout the rest of the summer term. In literacy our main class-reading book will be the Oxford Reading Tree. We have been exploring the new characters and remembering what makes them different. Some of the children have progressed greatly with this work and are now at the stage to help to read out the story on the class whiteboard.
With summer approaching, our geography work in Purple Class will be to think about our holidays at the seaside. We will be learning about the different games that we can play on the beach, and learning the names of what we can see around us when on holiday. Much of our D & T work will be playground based. We are exploring and learning about the designs of the different equipment that we play on.
Finally we are looking forward to our science work, which will be all about different plants and how they grow. The children will be learning what the different parts of a plant do, and why they are all so important to help growth. A busy term ahead in Purple Class!
