Silver Class staged another successful singing assembly after the short mid-summer term break. This is a great way of using music to help stimulate and inspire the children, as well as providing a weekly routine opportunity when we come together with our friends from Orange and Purple Class. We started off by welcoming some new children to the singing group. We then asked for some volunteers to step forward and choose which songs we were going to sing. We then rewarded our Star Performers for the week and congratulated them with a special song. Our session was finished off by learning a new song all about some traveling spacemen. We finished off the session by singing our farewell songs.
We will be reading A Walk in the Jungle for the remainder of the summer term in Silver Class. The children will be exploring the characters, learning to recognise them and to think about the different sounds that each animal might make. Our numeracy work will continue with our counting skills. Most children are now confident to count to ten, and we are looking to be able to go beyond this before our transition phase starts for the new school year.
