Class 11 are coming towards the conclusion of their GCSE art coursework. This has been a project that all pupils have approached with great maturity. One of the themes for the coursework was that of African masks. With most of the coursework now complete, we have been designing a front cover image to place on our coursework folders.
The GCSE art qualification has been of great benefit to our pupils on many levels. As well as the obvious artistic angle in improving our practical skills, it has also required the pupils to become more focussed and organised. Responsibility has been placed upon them to source their own materials, and how best to organise their time.
