Class 2S Maths Video

Class 2S have been using their maths lessons to think about how to sort different items into a Carroll diagram. This is a special mathematics grid that displays the similarities and differences between different items. We started off our work with a two-grid system. One box was coloured in red, whilst the other was in blue. We asked each pupil to place either a red or a blue object in the correct place on the grid.

We then advanced this work by putting in place on the whiteboard a four square grid. We wanted to sort the hairstyle appearance of different characters. Some had long hair, others short. The colours varied from dark or light. Using the Carroll diagram, Class 2S soon learnt that some of the characters could fit into more than once category. You can watch a short video of our maths work above.
