Purple Class have been preparing incredibly hard ahead of our Turney School assembly that is coming up. We are going to use this opportunity to help showcase many of the activities that we have been working on whilst reading our class book Rumble in the Jungle.
The Purple Class assembly will start with a grand parade around the school hall. We have been learning about how the different animals in the story all have a different pace as they march around. Purple Class will be concentrating on this rhythm as we parade as the animals in the school hall.
We have also been rehearsing in great detail the presentation that we will be showing our friends. Our work will explain a little more about the main characters featured in Rumble in the Jungle – the monkey, the lion, the elephant, the snake, the crocodile and the giraffe.
Finally Purple Class will finish their assembly by singing the Rumble in the Jungle song. We hope that all of the other children are able to join in! The lyrics are presented below to help you prepare!
