Purple Class Library Work

Purple Class

Purple Class are making the most of their weekly sessions in the Turney School library. This is a special time in the week where we get to explore and learn using the many resources that are available in the library.

Our Purple Class pupils have been starting off these sessions by choosing different phonic games to play with. These help the children with their letter formation, as well as the pronounciation of different sounds.

We then invite the children to have some free time on the computers in the library. These contain library specific software that have a general literacy feel. All pupils are given an independent choice in finding an activity that helps them with their learning.

Finally we usually finish off our library time in Purple Class with a shared story being read out on the whiteboard. There is a fantastic range of books available that are ideal to be shared on the large library screen.
