Purple Class have been busy reading a couple of key texts during the summer term. The children have been learning about the characters involved in Brown Bear and the Hungary Caterpillar. Both books are ideal for our cross-curricular work with maths learning.
The Hungary Caterpillar is themed around the days of the week. The caterpillar throughout the week eats a different amount of food. We have asked the Purple Class children to count and describe what they can see:
“On Monday I ate one apple. On Tuesday I had two pieces of toast.”
Individual targets have been set for each pupil during our workstation activities. Working one to one with adults, each class member has been learning more about the characters in each book.
