Class 11 have taken a brief seasonal break from the preparation required for our GCSE artwork. We have used the theme of Halloween to help the students express their creative talents with a free choice of design and materials.
We started off by sketching some early designs on a sheet of paper. The pupils then thought about how they could transfer these sketches to become a larger piece of artwork. We asked the Class 11 pupils to think about the artistic effect that they wanted to achieve, and which materials might be best suited to help achieve this.
Some of our ideas included pumpkins with polystyrene teeth, and some scary spiders with many legs. You can watch some of these ideas take shape in the video above.
