Class 2S have been learning about the high and low sounds as part of our current music learning. The pupils have been exploring what is meant when a musical note goes up, and then down once again.
We have been using the Turney musical tubes to help us with this research. These are a series of different sized hollow tubes. When they are banged on the table or hit with a beater, they create a distinct musical tone.
Class 2S took it in turns to experiment with the tubes to see how the size is related to the sound that is made. We have also been talking about other ways that we can help to remember the different sounds such as the individual colour of each tube.
