Building work has started on the new Turney School Sixth Form unit. This dedicated facility for 16-18 year-olds will be completed and ready for the first intake of new students in September 2015.
This is an incredibly exciting time for Turney School as we continue to be able to offer learning for a wide age range of pupils. As well as academic study, the students in the new sixth form will receive plenty of life skills and practical experience in the local community.
The building itself will be a self-contained friendly learning space for the young learners. The building has been designed to be able to encourage increased independence for all the students that use it.
We are looking forward to the grand opening in September and welcoming our first intake into the new Turney School sixth form.
