Class 2S have been busy preparing for their assembly that they will be staging before the end of the summer term. All pupils are playing an equal part in the assembly. We are using the assembly to help the class members improve their public speaking skills and to gain confidence when addressing an audience.
The theme for our assembly is life skills. All term Class 2S have been busy out in the local community and developing the skills that help to make us independent. Some of the topics that the pupils will explain in the assembly include making a shopping list, buying items in the local shops, exploring the local park and playing the piano that we discovered at the nearby Herne Hill station.
We have plenty of photographs to share of these activities during the Class 2S assembly. A short prepared sentence will be read by each pupil to explain the activity. We are then asking the class members to speak without any notes about what they have learnt from each activity.
The Class 2S assembly will end by asking our friends from other year groups if they have any questions that they would like to ask us about our life skills learning.
