Our science learning in Class 11 for the new term at Turney School has involved the students looking for identifying features in different food groups. We started off this work by looking first at different fruits. Shape, size and colour were some of the key features that we asked the students to consider.
Each pupil then completed a worksheet. This required the class members to sort a selection of fruits based on colour. This then became a practical activity with plastic fruit being used to help the students make the correct match with a Communication in Print card.
The session came to an end with the Class 11 students being rewarded for their good work with a selection of stickers. We kept the colour theme going by asking each student to select their favourite colour.
